Christchurch Round Table enjoyed a traditional Burns Night this January at Christchurch Soho, joining with 41 Club for one of the most established and popular events in the local Round Table calendar.

After a busy start to the year with our Christmas tree collection, it was a good opportunity to pause, catch up, and enjoy an evening rooted in tradition and good company.

Our Christmas tree recycling scheme has become a well-established part of the post-Christmas period in Christchurch, and this year saw record levels of support from the local community.

This year’s Christchurch Round Table’s Christmas Tree Recycling scheme was our most successful yet. Across our collection days, we collected around 500 real Christmas trees and raised nearly £6,000 to support local charities and good causes across Christchurch and the surrounding area.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who booked a collection, shared our posts, recommended us to neighbours, and helped make this year such a success.

The sound of sleigh bells, smiling faces at the end of driveways, and Santa waving from the float — 2025’s Christchurch Round Table Santa Sleigh was one of our best yet.

Across four festive evenings in December, our volunteers were proud to bring Santa to streets in Somerford East, Somerford West, Burton and Fairmile, raising money for local causes and collecting food donations for the local foodbank — all while spreading Christmas cheer across Christchurch.

This year also saw the debut of our brand new Santa Sleigh…

The Christchurch Round Table Christmas-Tree Collection is back — providing a convenient doorstep pickup service while raising money for local community projects and charities.

Our annual collection has become one of the most popular ways for residents across Christchurch, Dorset, Highcliffe, Mudeford, Burton, and surrounding areas to recycle their Christmas trees responsibly.

Thank you to everyone who booked a Christmas tree collection this year! We partnered with Macmillan Caring Locally, broke our previous tree bookings recordand raised more than £3,000.

Father Christmas visited local kids in Burton, Fairmile and Somerford this year. We saw lots of very happy smiling faces, and raised more than £1,000 for local charities! Result!

To celebrate our club’s 65th birthday, past and present members descended on the Captain’s Club Hotel in Christchurch for a very special Past Tablers Night.

We were delighted to be a part of yet another fantastic fish & chip supper last week! Christchurch Round Table drove guests to and from the venue in our own cars and covered the cost of the fish & chips.

Report on our hot dog stall at the 2022 New Milton Fireworks Night: we sold almost twice as many hot dogs as last year and had a great time doing it!

Santa Claus is coming to Christchurch on 13, 14, 15, 16, 19 & 20 December! Final route maps will be announced shortly.

What a great start to the bank hoilday weekend! Big thanks to Dom, Andy, Dave, Nigel & Mike for pitching in with the garden clean up this morning. Less than 2 hours start to finish giving back to the community. This is what CRT is all about!
