Santa Sleigh 2025: Thank You Christchurch — and We’re Planning Even More for Next Year
The sound of sleigh bells, smiling faces at the end of driveways, and Santa waving from the float — 2025’s Christchurch Round Table Santa Sleigh was one of our best yet.
Across four festive evenings in December, our volunteers were proud to bring Santa to streets in Somerford East, Somerford West, Burton and Fairmile, raising money for local causes and collecting food donations for the local foodbank — all while spreading Christmas cheer across Christchurch.
This year also saw the debut of our brand new Santa Sleigh, which received some lovely feedback from residents along the route. And of course, it wouldn’t be Santa Sleigh without our jolly, dancing Santa, who brought plenty of smiles (and a few laughs) as he made his way through the streets.
A Community Effort That Makes a Real Difference
The Santa Sleigh is organised and run entirely by volunteers from Christchurch Round Table, with support from local businesses and the wider community.
Thanks to your generosity across all four evenings, we raised over £900 for local good causes and collected a fantastic amount of food items for the local foodbank, helping support families in our area during the winter months.
The support we saw — even on cold winter nights — genuinely means a lot and helps us continue our work throughout the year.
Looking Ahead to Santa Sleigh 2026
Planning is already underway for Santa Sleigh 2026, and our aim is to reach even more areas across Christchurch where possible.
