Making a Difference in 2026: Supporting Our Community Together

At Christchurch Round Table, we're proud that every pound we raise goes back into making a difference.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, local businesses and everyone who attends our events, 2026 has already been another fantastic year of giving back.

Here's a look at some of the causes we've been proud to support so far.

Supporting Christchurch Foodbank+

This year we made a £1,000 donation to Christchurch Foodbank+ to support their fantastic Cookery School. The programme helps people develop the confidence and practical skills to prepare healthy, affordable meals, giving them knowledge that can make a lasting difference.

Alongside our financial contribution, our members also donated food to help support local families and individuals experiencing hardship.

Helping Children Through University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity

We were delighted to donate £1,000 to the Doing it for the Kids appeal, helping improve facilities and experiences for children and young people receiving care at our local hospitals.

It's a privilege to support a charity making such a positive impact for families across Dorset.

Supporting Macmillan Caring Locally

Macmillan Caring Locally continues to be a charity close to our hearts.

Our annual Christmas Tree Collection helped raise vital funds, and during the summer we were proud to run the BBQ at the Macmillan Caring Locally Summer Fete. Events like these only happen thanks to the support of our volunteers and everyone who comes along.

Backing Inspiring Local People

Community support isn't always about charities.

This year we were also pleased to support a local teenager travelling to Sierra Leone, where he'll be running a marathon to raise funds for vulnerable children while visiting rural schools and community initiatives.

We're always inspired by local people taking on extraordinary challenges, and we're proud to play a small part in helping them achieve their goals.

Thank You

None of this would be possible without our members, local businesses, supporters and everyone who attends our fundraising events throughout the year.

Every raffle ticket bought, Christmas tree collected, hotdog served and event attended helps us continue supporting causes that make a real difference in our community.

As we look ahead to the rest of 2026, including more fundraising, community projects and, of course, preparations for our much-loved Santa Sleigh, we're excited to keep making a positive impact across Christchurch.

Thank you for helping us make a difference.
