Every Pound Stays Local
When Christchurch Round Table raises money, we don't keep it sitting in a bank account.
Through the Christchurch Round Table Charitable Trust, we reinvest it into local charities, community groups and individuals who need support.
Sometimes that's a £1,000 donation to a local charity. Sometimes it's funding specialist equipment or supporting community events.
Every donation is made with one aim: making a positive difference here in Christchurch, Dorset.
Since 1956, Christchurch Round Table has been proud to support charities, community groups and individuals through fundraising, volunteering and direct financial donations. Here are just some of the causes we've been able to support thanks to our members, supporters and local businesses.
At Christchurch Round Table, the money we raise is kept in a ringfenced charity account (Christchurch Round Table Charitable Trust, charity number 1060052), then donated to local causes on an as-needed basis.

2026 Donations & Community Support
We're proud to support charities and organisations that make a real difference in our local community. Thanks to the generosity of those who support our fundraising events, we're able to give back throughout the year in a variety of ways.
Christchurch Foodbank+
Food Donation
As well as raising money, our members donated food to help stock the shelves at Christchurch Foodbank+, supporting local families and individuals experiencing hardship.
£1,000 Donation
We were delighted to donate £1,000 to Christchurch Foodbank+ to support their fantastic Cookery School, helping people gain the confidence and skills to prepare healthy, affordable meals.
University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity
£1,000 Donation
We donated £1,000 to the Doing it for the Kids appeal, helping improve facilities and experiences for children and young people receiving care at our local hospitals.
Macmillan Caring Locally
Christmas Tree Collection
Our annual Christmas Tree Collection once again raised thousands of pounds for local good causes, with a share of the proceeds supporting Macmillan Caring Locally and the incredible work they do across our community.
Summer Fete
We were proud to support the Macmillan Caring Locally Summer Fete by running our popular hot dog stand. Proceeds from the event helped support Macmillan Caring Locally while also enabling Christchurch Round Table to continue funding local charitable causes throughout the year.
Supporting Local Young People
Supporting a Sierra Leone Fundraising Challenge
We're proud to have supported a local teenager as he prepares to travel to Sierra Leone, where he'll be running a marathon to raise funds for vulnerable children.
During his trip, he'll also be visiting rural schools and community initiatives, seeing first-hand the impact of the support being provided and contributing to the local communities he'll be working with.
We were delighted to play a small part in supporting such an inspiring challenge and wish him every success with both his marathon and his trip.
More Than Donations
Supporting our community isn't just about writing cheques. Throughout the year our members volunteer hundreds of hours organising events, fundraising, supporting local charities and helping make Christchurch an even better place to live.
