Who We Help

At Christchurch Round Table, the money we raise is kept in a ringfenced charity account (Christchurch Round Table Charitable Trust, charity number 1060052), then donated to local causes on an as-needed basis.

A local cause might be a school or a charity, or it might be a small community initiative. Here are some examples of recent donations we have made:

Recent Donations

  • Mudeford Phoenix G.L.F.C

In 2023, we became the proud sponsors of Mudeford Phoenix Girls & Ladies Football Club.

This brilliant local club is completely volunteer-led and provides a safe and inspiring environment for girls and women to enjoy playing grassroots football.

We gave £1,500 to the club to help cover equipment and coaching costs.

  • Christchurch Support Kabin

This remarkable local charity focuses on supporting the homeless in Christchurch.

Christchurch Soup Kitchen volunteers cook hot meals and provide fresh clothing, toiletries and a laundry service for rough sleepers.

This is a brilliant charity that protects those most in need in our town. We gave £1,000 to this charity in the 2021/2022 financial year.

  • Adapted Surfboard for Wild & Free

Wild & Free Therapy CIC support children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, and/or special educational needs and physical disabilities.

In the 2022 - 2023 financial year, we donated the cost of an adapted surfboard so that the Wild & Free team could support even more people in our local community and help everyone get out on the water.

  • Christchurch Food Bank Plus

Christchurch Food Bank+ do so much more than food parcels - they also provide home equipment and CMA debt advice to households in emergency situations.

In the 2021/2022 financial year, we were able to give £5,000 to the food bank. Part of that went towards Christmas hampers: a mixed bag of food and vouchers to ensure that every family could have a meal, and every child could get a present, on Christmas Day.

  • A special beach cart for Esmé

Local girl Esmé has a very rare life limiting genetic condition that affects less than 700 children in the world.

Esmé’s family needed a special cart so that she could easily access the beach and enjoy family days out.

We were delighted to be able to support the family and donate some funds to this project.

  • CCP Winter Meal

Christchurch Community Partnership are an amazing charity supporting the elderly, vulnerable and socially isolated in Christchurch, 365 days a year.

On Christmas Day, CCP organise buses and taxis for people who would otherwise spend Christmas alone, and bring them together for a special dinner. In the 2022 - 2023 financial year, we made a donation to cover half of the cost of this event.

  • Round Table Children's Wish

We usually just donate to local causes, but we make an exception for Round Table Children’s Wish. This incredible charity grants handcrafted wishes to children and young people with life threatening illnesses across Britain and Ireland.

We were able to donate £2,000 to Round Table Children’s Wish in the 2022 - 2023 financial year.

  • Fish & Chip Party for the elderly & isolated

Every year, the fabulous Brenda Traylen MBE organises a Christmas party for the elderly and isolated in our town. We volunteer at this event, driving guests to & from the venue in our own cars. We also cover the cost of the meal and contribute to the party bags.

This is a great event to get involved in, and we always need more drivers! If you would like to help out, please click the link below.

  • Christchurch Angels

Christchurch Angels are local volunteers who help vulnerable or isolated people in times of crisis or illness. If someone is coping with bereavement, coming out of hospital, socially isolated or struggling and just needs some low-level support, Christchurch Angels are there to help.

We were able to give £1,000 to Christchurch Angels in the 2022 - 2023 financial year.
